People on the move face daily barriers in accessing housing, employment and health services. Human rights are under threat for all, as thousands of people are systematically excluded from housing and health care while they are forced to overcome significant difficulties to find work.

\r\nThrough this campaign, we shed light on the difficulties faced by refugee communities, trying to fulfil fundamental needs for a dignified life.

\r\nGuaranteeing human rights is the responsibility of every law-governed State. It gives the opportunity to uprooted and vulnerable people to regain their independence and dream of the future again. It also contributes to smooth integration with long term benefits to the local societies.

\r\nIn this campaign, people on the move themselves are those holding the microphone to make their voices heard.

It is addressed to the general public, all human rights defenders, civil society, institutions and organizations. The project \u201cDo the human right thing \u2013 Raising our voice for refugee rights\u201d is being implemented under the Active citizens fund in Greece by the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR) and Partner Organizations the Diotima Centre, the International Rescue Committee Hellas (IRC) and Popaganda.<\/p>

The Active citizens fund in Greece is supported through a \u20ac 13.5 m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway as part of the EEA Grants 2014 -2021. The programme aims to develop the sustainability and capacity of the civil society sector in Greece, and to strengthen its role in promoting and safeguarding democratic procedures, active citizenship, and human rights.
