We have a long experience in implementing educational programs and awareness-raising training and actions on equality, gender rights, and the prevention of gender-based violence.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Following the principles of feminist education, based on a non-hierarchical, participatory and critical approach to knowledge, we conduct seminars aimed at professionals, workers, young people, and the general public, as well as workshops for women’s empowerment and skills development.<\/span><\/p>

In the seminars, we use interactive educational methods suitable for adults. All activities are free of charge.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Themes<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We approach a range of themes that highlight how the culture of sexism affects our understanding of our own experiences and the societies we live in. We discuss intersectional themes, identifying how gender, ethnic, sexual, class, and other identities intersect and exploring the realms in which inequality is experienced.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants become familiar with, but not limited to: the basic concepts of gender and equality, the culture of consent and equal interpersonal relationships, the basic concepts of gender-based violence, and best practices for supporting survivors.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The training activities are aimed at female students and professionals of various disciplines. Indicatively: teachers, social workers, mental health professionals, social scientists, health professionals, lawyers, journalists, workers in support structures for survivors and support structures for the refugee population, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

The awareness-raising actions are addressed to the general public, with an emphasis on young people (16-30 years old), as adolescence and the first years of adulthood are a period of formative experiences in terms of beliefs and ways of living and expressing gender. Specifically, for the year 2022-2023, we are implementing the action “Discussions on gender equality and gender-based violence” (approval number 9805), in schools of Attica, following an invitation from the schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

Awareness-raising actions are also carried out for employees in companies who want to become familiar with issues of sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace, prevention and treatment of gender-based violence, and empowerment of women.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
