Focusing on human rights and a dignified life for all, we present the new digital campaign “Do the human right thing”, starting to be broadcasted on the social media of the Diotima Center from October 2021 and reaching its higher point on June 20 2022, World Refugee Day.<\/p>\n

People on the move face daily difficulties and barriers to accessing housing, employment and health. Through the campaign we aim to raise awareness and inform the general public about the violations of these fundamental rights of refugees and asylum seekers.<\/p>\n

The campaign is part of the homonym programme “Do the human right thing, Raise our Voice for the Rights of Refugees<\/a>”, implemented by the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR)<\/a> and partners the Diotima<\/a> Center, the International Rescue Committee Hellas (IRC) and Popaganda<\/a>. Through the programme the organizations,\u00a0 derived from many years of experience in the field of refugees, manage to highlight the obstacles faced by the refugee population in its gradual integration into Greek society.<\/p>\n

The campaign was designed by the Diotima Center and is addressed to the general public, all human rights defenders, civil society, institutions and organizations. It gives rise to refugees and asylum seekers voices themselves in order to be heard louder.<\/p>\n

Coming up with the slogan “spread our voice”, we invite you to take action. Human rights are in danger! Defend the fundamental rights of the people on the move. Raise your voice for their effective application to all people.<\/p>\n

**\u03a4he \u201cDo the human right thing \u2013 Raising our Voice for Refugee Rights\u201d project is implemented under the Active citizens fund program, with Project Promoter the Greek Council for Refugees (GCR) and Partner Organizations the Center Diotima, the International Rescue Committee Hellas (IRC) and Popaganda.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Active citizens fund in Greece is supported through a \u20ac 12m grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway as part of the EEA Grants 2014 \u2013 2021. The program aims to develop the sustainability and capacity of the civil society sector in Greece, and to strengthen its role in promoting and safeguarding democratic procedures, active citizenship and human rights. The Fund Operator for the Active citizens fund in Greece is Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow.<\/em><\/p>\n
