On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25\/11), the women’s organization Diotima Center and Makeup & Digital Artist<\/a>, Eleana Dimopoulou, join forces in the #PAINted campaign.<\/p>\n

The #PAINted<\/a> campaign makes use of color to “talk” about all forms of gender-based violence<\/a>: verbal<\/a>, physical<\/a>, psychological\/emotional<\/a>, financial<\/a>, and sexual<\/a>. Forms<\/a> that often leave no visible marks, yet cause multiple traumas to the people who have experienced them or are experiencing them, either in the private or public space (partner\/marital<\/a> and domestic violence<\/a>, rape<\/a>, sexual harassment<\/a>, trafficking<\/a>, stalking<\/a>, etc.).<\/p>\n

By painting pain and trauma, we give visibility to an “invisible phenomenon”, which often escapes statistics, while it is often masked by convenient myths and social tolerance, so that it goes unreported.<\/p>\n
