The “Workshop on the Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence and Harassment On and Offline” was successfully held on Thursday, January 18 2024 at Serafio, with more than 100 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop emphasized the severity of the issue and the importance of collaboration and public dialogue in preventing and combating sexual violence and harassment. The findings from the project’s research were presented, highlighting the challenges, successful practices and policy recommendations that can lead to conscious social alliances to improve the social and political reality when it comes to sexual violence and harassment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was not only an opportunity for raising awareness, but also an excellent networking event, providing opportunities for interaction between the public and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enthusiastic response motivates us to continue our efforts to eradicate gender-based violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PRESS Project<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

After two years of impactful actions, the PRESS<\/a> project, coordinated by the Diotima Centre<\/a> and the Department of Communication & Media of the University of Athens<\/a> and Genderhood<\/a> as partners, has been completed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRESS in numbers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– 61 survivors of sexual violence and harassment received psychosocial support & 60 legal aid from the Diotima Centre.

– 447 people, aged 16 and over, participated in 28 empowerment workshops and awareness-raising activities on sexual (online) harassment and violence by Diotima Centre and Genderhood.

– 268 mental health professionals, psychologists, social workers, teachers, lawyers and journalists participated in two and three-day training activities by the Diotima Centre, Genderhood and the Department of Communication and Media of the University of Athens.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
