The film “Our Bodies” emerged as the winner, through electronic voting, on the specially designed platform on the website of the Diotima Center, with 5,590 positive votes, among eleven films in total.

The creator of the award-winning film will be awarded an award and a cash prize of 1,000 euros, as will creators Dimitris Ballotta and Claudia Cornea, who won the Jury award.

Don’t Skip – Don’t skip gender violence

We remind you that the competition was announced as part of our nationwide digital campaign “Don’t Skip – Don’t skip gender-based violence”, which is implemented with the kind support of the Papastratos company and lasted from 18/4 to 31/08/2018.

Through the competition, we aimed for young creators (18-30 years old) to share their own cinematic vision to inform and raise awareness among our fellow citizens, regarding the everyday phenomenon of gender-based violence.

We would like to thank all the creators for the participation, effort, and trust they showed in the event.

The small number of participants does not discourage us. On the contrary, it convinces us of the necessity of similar actions, which make the phenomenon of gender-based violence visible to as large an audience as possible, and even more so with the involvement of young people in them.

Award

The awarding of the audience award and the jury award to the creators, who have distinguished themselves, as well as the screening of the films will take place at the open event of the presentation of the “Don’t Skip – Don’t Skip gender-based violence” campaign, on Sunday 25 November 2018, at 12 noon at the Trianon cinema (Kodringtonos 21 & Patision 101).

The event takes place on the occasion of November 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Participants and contributors to the campaign, which was implemented with the kind sponsorship of the Papastratos company, will attend and speak.

In particular: the Pan-Hellenic kickboxing and boxing champion Katerina Koutsogeorgopoulou and her coach Nikos Drosopoulos, the actress Romanna Lobach, the communications director of the Papastratos company Christina Akouris, the director – member of the competition jury Evi Karabatsou, the legal services manager of the Diotima Center Despina Tsouma, the actor Errikos Litsis and the director Alexis Koukias, whom we sincerely thank for their non-profit participation and their practical support in our joint effort.
