With over a century of history, March 8th, International Women’s Day, is a day of collective global action by those who have committed to promoting gender equality. Each year, this day highlights the achievements and the progressions that have been made, while emphasizing on the social changes that are still necessary to be done in order to achieve true equality.

Every action for this International Day is valuable and meaningful. The fight for gender equality is not only about women. It’s a battle that involves society as a whole and everyone’s active support is particularly important. Organisations, groups and individuals around the world can play together an important role in raising community awareness to promote gender justice.

Through initiatives, workshops, events, advocacy actions, awareness campaigns in workplaces, universities, schools, municipalities, etc., we can contribute to demanding positive institutional and social changes to achieve social, economic, cultural and political well-being for women.
