The Diotima Center and KETHI held a conference in the event hall of the Ministry of Administrative Reconstruction (V. Sofias 15, Athens). At the conference, the recent study of the Research Center for Equality Issues (KETHI) was presented, entitled “Study to Detect the Needs of Refugee Women Living in Temporary Accommodation Structures”, which was conducted on a nationwide scale by the Diotima Center.
There was a concurrence of opinions and conclusions around the main findings of the study and the policy proposals among the participants who attended the presentation.
In addition, the opportunity was given to exchange views between representatives of public/governmental bodies and organizations/NGOs and professionals active in the field.
At the same time, the need for a greater and more intensive effort, synergy, and exchange of know-how, as well as the dissemination of these issues to wider audiences, became common awareness, for an effective response to incidents of gender-based violence in the hospitality structures and the all-round support of the survivors.
